It's been soooooooooooo long!

I cannot believe it's been so long since I last updated our blog. It's not liek we've been busy or anything. ;) Things have been doing wonderfully around here.
Sebastian turned 4 in November and is thriving in school. He is obsessed with letters, writing and numbers and I LOVE it!
Nathaniel turned 2, 10 days ago and is the most talkative little 2 year old I know (he wins the prize for most stubborn aswell!). He is very different from his brother, which always amazes me and I am thankful for the joy he brings in our lives.

Another "big news" i have to share is that a few days after Sebastian's 4th birthday we found out that that God had blessed us again...you heard that right, we are expecting our 3rd child for sometime this summer.

The kids are thrilled abotu the news, especially Sebastian who has been the sweetest little boy to me since finding out the news. He is obsessed with my belly and wants to know everything and anything about the baby. He can stare at an ultrasound picture for HOURS.

Well, that's it for now. I hope to be able to be more consistent in my blogging so that I can keep you all updated on our lives.

I'll post some pictures in a few, because I have to show how beautiful my boys are! :)

Discovering our home state...

Eric and I love doing fun stuff with the kids on the weekend. We honestly don't spend much time at home when Eric isn't working because we'd much rather be spending our time outdoors.

Today we decided to do something different and take advantage of what our beautiful state has to offer. We went to the Everglades and went on an awesome airboat ride. The kids had a terrific time (and so did we). Sebastian kept repeating "This is so cool! This is so cool!".
At one point during our boat tour, our "captain" asked if anyone was willing to get out of the boat and walk around, of course Sebastian jumped on the opportunity to get dirty. He is just an adventurous kid, not sure he's really ours!?

You want everything you eat to be chocolate: ice cream, yogurt, cereal.

You love it so much, we can't keep it in the house!

Some may think I am a horrible for even allowing you to have any but your mother is from Belgium, chocolate runs in our veins!

Your favorite meals are rice and beans and hummus with rice crackers or carrots...weird kid!

You're a free-spirit...you hate shoes and love to walk bare foot.

You hate clothes and strip down to bare minimum as soon as you get in the house.

We put you to bed with pj's and you ALWAYS wake up naked!

You always end up in our bed in the morning and while it drives me crazy at times, I must admit that I absolutely love getting hugs and kisses from you ...even in the middle of the night!

You tell me I am the most amazing mom in the whole wide world at least 10 times a day and it makes me tear up EVERY.SINGLE.TIME!

You adore roller-coasters!! not the baby ones..the big big ones like Thunder Mountain or Splash Mountain!

You love building things with your daddy and when you do, you make sure to tell everyone how amazing your daddy is.

Yup, it's true, I decided to finally sit down again and keep up with this blog. I love looking back on all the amazing things my kids do and this is just the perfect way to keep track of those things.

What has happened in the past several months?

The boys have grown...TREMENDOUSLY!

Nate is now 14 months has learned how to chase his brother, tease his brother, hit his brother, learned how to say "Mama, Daddy, Belle, Balle, "I want juice", Kaka, bye bye and will give you a "bisous" (= kiss in french) whenever you ask for it...as well as the typical "high five".

Sebastian is almost 3.5 and has started preschool 3 mornings a week and has learned SO SO much in the past 3 months, he can read most of his letters, has learned so many new songs, ....

but the "thing" that has grown the most around here is the love we have for eachother and God!

New York, New York

On the 5th of March my maternal grandmother passed away. Her funeral took place in New York so we made the trip with the kids to pay our respects. The service was beautiful and I was glad that I was able to be there.
We took advantage of the trip to spend some time with family that hadn't met the kids yet and we had a terrific time, especially the kids. We even got to take the kids into the city, visit the Statue of Liberty, Empire State building, Time Square ...

During our stay, we stayed at my cousin Matilda's home on Long Island. She has 4.5 TRIPLETS (Rena, Max and Lola) and a 1.5 year old, Alex!! Her sister, Maggie (also my cousin) had twins, Ana and Emma.

Our first trip to Disney

as a family of four!
We decided on a whim to take the kids to Disney for the weekend: booked a hotel, packed our bags and off we went.
It was the first time Nate was in the car for so long and since we left early,he did fairly well. Eric and I were really excited abotu seeing Sebastian's reaction when we would be there, and once we got closer and saw "mickey" signs, he went CRAZY! "MICKEY MICKEY MICKEY I so happy we go to Disneyworld". Everyone who knows Sebastian, knows how expressive he is, and this time was no different and made our Disney experience even more magical.
The park was packed but we were able to get on tons of rides, Sebastian's favorite were the Pirates of the Carribean and the Buzz lightyear ride.
We stayed until the fireworks were over (gorgeous by the way) and then headed to the hotel, Sebastian actually was so exhausted that he fell asleep on the tram on our way back to the car!

Halloween Party

Today our moms group had a great Halloween party. The kids had so much fun running around and I had a great time chatting with my mommy friends. Sebastian wore his pirate costume and insisted I paint something on his face, don't you love his moustache?? I turned Nate into his pumpkin because I wanted to save his real costume for Halloween and I actually dressed up as a kitty cat (whickers and all)

Last night we were having dinner and Eric was complaining that the fish wasn't very good.

So I looked at Sebastian and said:" You dad is a big pain in the butt. He should always say that mommy's food tastes good"Sebastian: "
But mommy, I know daddy loves you!
Me: I am not sure, what makes you think that?
Sebastian: He's always kissing you!
Me: Oh really?Sebastian: Yes, mama.
He goes...mwa,mwa mwa (making kissy faces with his lips) all the time to you when we are in the care!

Today, we just hung out around the house with the kids and then walked over to the park near our house. I took advantage of our time out to take some photos of the boys but I couldn't get a picture of both of them together (or a good picture of Seb actually).

Weekends are usually reserved exclusively for spending time with daddy. The boys love it and so do I!
This weekend, we took the kids to the zoo but the heat was so unbearable that after seeing just a few animals we headed to the fountains and Seb and Nate had a blast! I had never let the baby play in them but as you can tell by the pictures, he really did enjoy it!

Nate is almost 9 months and has yet to receive a toy. I know, I know, he doesn't know any better but the I had a case of "mommy guilt" and went out and bought him a cool ballpit today and he lovesssssssssssssssss it!

When I was pregnant and running around after Sebastian, I swore I wouldn't mind if Nate didn't walk until he was three! Boy, was I fooling myself! When Nate turned 6 months old, I worried because he was nowhere near crawling. Sebastian was at that age and although I know that comparing is not a good thing, I couldn't help myself but worry.

A few weeks ago, just after turning 8 months, he started crawling, a few days later, he pulled himself up on the coffee table and started cruising furniture...what on earth was I worrying about??

Now, the trouble truely begins. I had forgotten what a pain it was to babyproof the first time add to the "regular" unsafe stuff: toys with a million tiny pieces, dogs with shedding coat....just enough to keep me on my toes 24hours a day!

Sebastian has been obssessed with pirates lately. That's all he talks about. So imagine my excitement when I found out that tToday is "Talk like a Pirate day" !! Since Tyler (Sebastian's BFF) loves pirates too... Cheryl and I decided to take the kids to the Boynton Beach Children's Museum for "pirate story time". It was adorable! All 3 boys were super attentive and well behaved (for change) and participated super well too!

The photos aren't the best since I forgot my flash and had to shoot at high ISO!

Dawn's baby shower

Today Nate and I attended Dawn's surprise baby shower. Dawn is expecting a baby girl, Katherine Claire (aka Kate) in just a few short weeks and she is looking gorgeous (and huge, sorry dawn had to add that in).
Rachel, the hostess did a FANTASTIC job decorating. Of course, I had to take pics! isn't everything just gorgeous??

I cannot wait to meet Miss Kate already!!!

Life with two...

Life with two has been hectic. Mainly because both refuse to sleep like normal human beings. Sebastian flat out refuses to nap and Nate wakes 15 times a night (no, I am not kidding). Sometimes I wonder how I function... I told Eric that all I want for Christmas is one entire day in bed. No jewelry, no new camera (although I have been dying for one). NOTHING just SLEEP! Yes, that's how desperate I am.
I know there are plenty of books and techniques out there, unfortunately my exhausted brain can't even think straight enough to read one of those books...actually, I started reading one last week. I was determined to have Nate sleep through the night so I forced myself to keep my eyes open long enough to read the book the came highly recommended by many of my friends (Happy Sleep Habits, Happy baby). Within 10 minutes of reading it , I realized this book wasn't for me...why? you ask. One of the questions of the book: How long should you let a child cry? Answer: Up to an hour! Are they out of their minds, how could you let your child cry for that long??? THat's not sleep training that's abuse! I'd rather never sleep again than put my child through that. Anyhow, now we are back to square one and I am more exhausted than ever...I know I'll find a solution...oneday!

Sebastian and Nate truely love eachother and it amazes me everytime I see them together. Sebastian just lovesssss kissing and hugging his brother. It's so flippin' cute! Today I took them to a local "splash park". Nate had a blast (it was his first time) and Sebastian thought it was hilarious to see Nate splash around like a wild man! Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures of them playing. Sebastian thought it would be funny to splash mommy too and I was too afraid to ruin my camera.

Labor Day weekend

We took advantage of the long weekend to get away. We didn't want to go to far yet wanted to feel as if we were 1000 miles awya from home so I booked us a room at the Marriot Ocean Pointe on SInger Island (only about 20 minutes away from us!) and it was GORGEOUS! The hotel was right on the water and the room was simply amazing. The kids had a blast in the pool and on the beach and I really enjoyed spending time away with my boys without having to worry abotu cooking or laundry!

between work, the kids, housekeeping, the dog... things get hectic around here. Eric and I were determined to find a new and fun way to spend time together: BIKING!

We got ourselves bikes, a trailer to put the kids in and we have been having a blast. We been riding around Boca and loving every minute of it (especially Sebastian, since we usually make a stop at the playground).

Nate wasn't too fond of it at first, but a few crackers and he LOVED being driven around!

I know, I suck! I haven't updated you on the boys in a longgggggggggg time. I have no excuse other than the fact that I have been busy (for a change).

The boys are doing fabulous. Sebastian won't shut up (and boy, do I love it) and Nate is reaching new milestones everyday.

Nate officially has 3 teeth (two top & one bottom) and is rocking on all fours. He has mastered the "backwards crawl" but hasn't yet figured out how to move forward. He pulls himself up on anything he can, and screams "DADADADA or MAMAMAMAMA" ALL.DAY.LONG!

I've been slacking at updating our blog because we've had visitors for the past 18 days. My [baby] brother Anthony and his best friend, Peter came to visit us from Belgium.
I hadn't seen him in seven long long years and we had a wonderful time with him. He left yesterday and I miss him more than I ever thaught I would.
My heart aches knowing that he is so far away from us once again. It was so good to have him here and meet my kids for the first time, cook his favorite meals, hug and squeeze him (yes, us Kukaj's we love to hug and squeeze).

Here are a few photos from his visit, very random and total snapshots, I know, but pictures I will treasure dearly until the next time we see eachother again, hopefully, in Belgium this time!

On August 6th, as we were coming back from our Mommy 'n Me class at our church, I stuck my finger in Nate's mouth for my daily "check for teeth". Well, to my surprise, I found one. His first little pearly white! Same one as his brother's first tooth, the bottom left tooth and just like his brother, no sign of the other one popping out anytime soon either!

This photo is the only one he allowed me to take. It was taken about 10 days after I actually felt it!

Just a few pictures of the boys. They absolutely LOVE each other and I have to admit that seeing them together is the most beautiful thing. A few days ago, we were all in the playroom and Sebastian ran up to Nate, gave him a big hug and said : " You are my best friend ever Nay-Nate (yup that's how he calls him!)", I swear Eric and I almost cried. Time sure flies when you are having fun!!!

It seems like only yesterday, we welcomed Mr. Nathaniel into our family and now he is such a big boy.

What is Nate up to these days:

- He weighs 21.5 lbs!! He lovesssssssssss the boob, doesn't care for baby food but seems more interested in what we eat than what is in his plate. He does love the organic teething biscuits I give him though. It's a like a drug to him and he cries his little heart out when he is done with it.

- He sits up very well, scoots backwards and to the side only.

- Says: mama, dada, nana and blows bubbles all day long.

- puts his arms up in the air when mommy enters the room so she can carry him.

- is starting to experience some speration anxiety, and cries when I leave the room.

- is the biggest flirt EVER.

- simply adores his big brother and will twist and turn in any way possible just to make sure he is always inhis line of sight (so cute!).

No wonder I want more kids, I have the most amazing boys! Seriously, I cannot get enough of them!

Nate is just the sweetest little thing and Sebastian (although quit the terror) is such a lovebug. I was playing around this morning after breakfast and check out this cute picture! Isn't he the cutest? I have a bunch more to proof, but it's time for me to go to bed, so you'll have to wait a day or two to see more!

You are probably wondering why I haven't blogged in 10 (long) days? Well I have been TIRED! Mister Nate for some reason has not been sleeping well at all. I mean he wakes up at least 5 times a night! NO KIDDING!
I am so tired I don't have the energy to figur out what is going on or how to fix the problem so my only solution for now is to stick him on the boob until he falls asleep (remind you of anyone?).
So, I'll try my hardest this week to update you all on us as much as possible in the next few days!

I have the most amazing news to share: my (baby) brother, Anthony is coming to visit on the 31st of this month! I haven't seen him in 7 longgggggggggg years (messed up family, long story). I miss him terribly and am so happy to finally be able to give him a huge hug and kiss. We are less than 2 years appart and I cannot remember a childhood memory without him in it.
He will also be meeting the boys for the very first time, do you know how excited I am for them to meet???
Anyhow, I just thought I'd share my excitement!

Happy Birthday America!!!

Our 4th of July was very laid back (for once). In the morning we took the kids to see Wall-E. What a cute movie! Sebastian had to pee during it a few times but other than that he sat pretty still.
Then we all came home and had a nice (well deserved) family nap and in the evening we had a DEE-LICIOUS bbq and had fun with some awesome fireworks. Sebastian loved them and Nathan slept through them!

Since Eric had the day off we decided to celebrate " no more diapers". We took Sebastian out to Chuck E Cheese. Sebastian was so proud of himself and I was so proud to celebrate such a huge milestone with him. We all had a great time but I think the boys (Eric and Seb) had the most fun. They both spent their time playing car games and had to be dragged out when I had had enough of the place ;)

I asked my mom to watch the kids so I could run to Publix. I come back about a half hour later and my mom is almost in tears...Sebastian had gotten a hold of my mom's nailpolish and had decided it would be cool to paint himself while my mom was preparing Nate his food. When she found him he was next to Nate (who was in the bouncer) and was saying " I paint baby now too"! Funny now...NOT funny then!

Lion Country Safari

Last weekend, we took the kids to Lion Country Safari. Last time we went Sebastian loved it, so we knew he would enjoy it even more now, being that he is a bit older. Well he absolutely loved it! He even insisted on taking his own photos (see photo below). The animals got really close too this time, so that was realyl neat.

After seeing all the animals, we park the car and enjoyed the rest of the park. There is just SO much to do there. Daddy & Sebby played mini-golf, we fed the giraffes, went on a ferris wheel, played in the water park. It was a blast!

that Sebastian is officially potty trained! No more diapers for my big boy and I am SO proud of him. He even makes it through the entire night without an accident. Did I mention how proud I am of him??
We started off last Monday, after changing his last ginormous poop, I had had it. So we went naked and it worked out really well. On Wednesday we started wearing underwear and it didn't go as good. So I went out and bought o bunch of potty prizes. Everytime he would go on the potty he would get a prize! Let me tell you, that definately did the trick (on and the fun underwear too).
He now goes on the potty on his own (no more prizes needed) and love to show off his cool underpants -lol.

A few days ago, our friends Marissa, Hayze and Sawyer invited us to their home for a pool and ice cream party. The kids had a total blast and Sebastian had more fun eating crackers than he did eating ice cream (that's ok, I ate his share :) ).

of Nate! He is seriously such a sweet sweet baby. He smiles all day long and is so content just hanging around in his bouncer or swing. We are truely blessed.
I must admit though, that I am having the baby itch AGAIN! I think it's because they are both growing so fast.
Sebastian talks to us like a big boy and Nate is already wearing 12 month clothing!!! It's bittersweet watching your children grow. While I can't wait to see what they grow up to be, I know i will be sad to not have my little boys that love and want to cuddle all the time.

Eric thinks that because of the way I feel, we'll always have a baby in the house! If I hadn't had c-sections and had all the money in the world, I would have babies everyday!

Sebastian has a new favorite book! He carries it everywhere we go and wants us to read it to him all the time, especially at bed time...wanna know what book??? Well, I am sure you would never guess it : THE BIBLE! Isn't that frickin adorable??

Eric reads his Bible every night so I am sure it has to do with his " I-want-to-do-everything-like-daddy" phase but still it's too flippin cute! When I ask him what the Bible says, his response usually sounds like this : "Jesus (prounounced Zezus) loves God and God loves Jesus...THE END!" I just love love love it!

Hey, who knows he might end up a priest or pastor one day?

10 things to know (and love) about Nathaniel.

I came across this post on my friend Amy's blog and thaught it was a GREAT idea... So,in honor of Nathaniel's 5 month birthday (where on earth does time go??) here is a list of 10 things to know (and love) about my baby boy.

1. Happy baby. Nathan is the sweetest little boy. He is always smiling. He rarely cries even when he is starving. When he wakes in the morning, he just lays in his bed and "talks" to his mobile.

2. Mr. Piggy. Nate LOVES to eat, and it shows. He has got the fatest, chunkiest thighs EVER so chubby that I have to make sure to clean the inside of his rolls everyday and put diaper cream in them or else they become super red and irritated.
He weighs about 21 lbs already too!

3. Yummy food. On his 5 month birthday we started Nate on cereal and he absolutely loved it. Sebastian even thought it was hilarious and fed him. He has now also tasted bananas and I cannot shove it in his mouth fast enough!

4. Peek-a-boo. He lovessssssss it when we play peek-a-boo with him. It just cracks him up. He has got the most contagious laugh ever.

5. Just like daddy. While Sebastian looks alot like me as a child, Nate looks SO much like his daddy (Eric adores hearing it from everyone). I hope he also gets his brains it would save us a load on college tuition. ;)

6. Belle. In the past few weeks,Nathaniel has been completly fascinated by Belle, our puppy. When she is in the room, nothing else matters. He follows her every move. It's adorable.

7. Teething. I think Nate has started teething. I don't think his teeth are ready to pop out but he won't stop chewing on everything he can get him hands on.

8. Jump, baby jump! Nate could spend the entire day in the Jumperoo if we let him. He jumps so much and squeels that he usually passes out after going in it for a bit. I don't remember Sebastian loving it so early on, but am sure glad we kept it around for him.

9. Scooting and rolling. While on tummy time, Nate has started to scoot around(not crawling) but he usually ends up in a weird position in a different plae that we set him down in. He is also already rolling from back to tummy and from tummy to back.

10. Love. Since his birth, Nathan has brought so much love into this family. I can't wait to see what his caracter shpes up to be and how much alike (or different) he will be from his brother. We adore him more than we will ever be able to express.

Our plans for today are just to bum around and make sure Eric gets to eat and do whatever he wants! :)

Gosh, if you think time flies by wait until you have kids... I cannot believe how fast my children are growing.
Sebastian has an amazing vocabulary and says things that just crack me up.

This morning we went to Tradewinds Park, all 4 of us. They have a little farm with goats, sheep, pigs and also have horses that the kids can ride.
Sebastian was SO happy. I think he talked about the horses all day long especially about the horse that pooped while Sebastian was riding him...now what 2 year isn't fascinated by poop?? That totally made his day!

Sebastian has been giving us a hard time with napping. If we are lucky we get him to take a nap twice a week (one of those days being on the weekend). I must admit, the days he doesn't nap are HARD! I need a break from my crazy, energetic 2 year old.

Last Saturday, as I was nursing the baby, Sebastian was playing in his playroom. He was being pretty quiet (any mom knows that silence = trouble) so I got up to go check on him. This is what I found!

A few days too late to post this but who cares?

On the 18th, Nate turned 4 months! Can you believe it? I sure can't.

He is a great baby. I mean he never fusses, cries or whines. He just adores hanging out amongst us and observe. He laughs quiet a bit right now too, which is so cute!

He sits up pretty well , and is even trying to roll from his back to his belly! I think he is teething(although the pediatrician doesn't think so).

His 4 month stats? drumroll please....

19 lbs!!!! and 26 inches!! he is in the 95th percentile for height and off the charts for weight. He is one chubby baby. The doctor was so amazed by his size that she showed him off to the entire office!

I've been slacking in the photo editing department, so of course I am behind on blogging (shame on me).

Last weekend we went to the zoo with Eric (because he says we have too much fun during the week without him). This picture was taken on the carousel. I can't believe how big my little man is getting. Today he is exactly 2.5!! He loves to drive me crazy, scream at the top of his lungs and run around like a mad man but he has got to be one of the most amazing person I have ever met!

this is a totally random post, but I have to write them down before I actually forget them....

- One night after nursing Nathan, Sebastian came up and asked to have his share (yes, I STILL nurse my 2.5 year old). After nursing for a minute or two he looked up at me : " mommy your boobie is broken, let me try the other one!"...of course I couldn't help but laugh, he then looked at me with the most serious face " that's not funny mommy!"

Since we are on the topic of nursing...
- One night as I was nursing the baby, Sebastian came up and asked for some "boobie", I told him he had to wait because mommy was feeding the baby. He paused for a second, then looked at me and said : " Mommy, two boobies...one for Nate and one for Sebby"

- We were in the pediatrician's waiting room waiting to be seen (for Nate's 4 month checkup), a little boy around Sebastian's age walks in and Sebastian says : "Hello, my name Sebby Harpmin (our new last name-lol) what your name?"

- Sebastian had been begging me for a "Cheebuger"(aka cheese burger) so I caved and when I handed it to him, he kissed it (yes, I swear he kissed the burger) and said " oh thank you mommy thank you!" HILARIOUS!!

- Sunday evening Sebastian is sitting in the living room, "reading" a book,
I ask him : " What are you reading baby?"
he says: " I reading the Bible, mommy"
A few moments later, I ask him : "Sebastian, Who is God?"
he replies: " It's Zezus(Jesus) mommy"

I could probably writes pages and pages of the things he says and does but that's all I can think of between the dog barking, Sebastian screaming and the baby whining!

Nathan's first trip to the zoo!

I had promised Sebastian a few days ago that we would go to the zoo. He kept mentionning it, so today eventhough it was about 90 degres, I packed up both kids and headed to the Palm Beach Zoo.
Sebastian had a total blast and Nate just being outdoors!

My first Mother's Day with Sebastian was a terrific one, without a doubt BUT waking up with two beautiful little boys (three if you count daddy) is simply the best thing I could ever ask for.

I love bugging Eric when there is a holiday around the corner , because he has a tendancy to "forget" them. This time I decided I wouldn't ask for anything because I already had the most amazing Mother's Day gift: being a mom to Sebastian and Nathaniel, the most amazing children I have ever met!

I am not sure who reads my blog, but if you are a mommy, I sure hope you Mother's Day was as terrific and blessed as mine was.

This morning as I was taking the trash out, Sebastian thought it would be a good idea to let Belle out of her cage...of course Belle ran like a mad dog! I tried running after her but that dog can run!!!
After an hour of driving around the neighbourhood screaming her name, Eric and I decided to put some signs up. I was terrified that she would get hurt, we live near a busy road and all I could think of is Belle getting hit by a car.

Sebastian kept crying : "BELLE BELLE BELLE".3 hours after she had gone missing I decided to call local animal shelters and vets to let them know that our dog was missing. Two minutes after hanging up with the Tri-County Humane Society, I receive a call back from them: someone had found Belle and brought her in.

The 2 ladies had found her running around the outside of the Boca Mall (she likes to shop just like her mommy-lol) and were able to catch her! THANK GOD!!!

So after nearly giving us a heart attack, she is now back home, causing trouble!

Nathan is a BIG boy (nearly 18 lbs at 3 months) and I feel bad that he is still in the pack-n-play in our room, so I think it's time to move him out into his own room. I made a few "sleep mistakes" with Sebastian (who STILL sleeps with us) and I hope to not make them again - we live and learn, right??- I *think* we'll give it a try tonight! Wish me luck!

For about a two months now, I have been having a really hard time getting Sebastian to go down for a nap. A day without a nap for all of us usually equals TORTURE because, by 5 o'clock Sebastian becomes the crankiest child ever and I have to admit I look forward to that break from him for a bit. Sometimes driving around works but getting two kids in a car to drive to no where is a big pain in the butt!

So, I have made up a new rule, if your not sleeping then you have to be quiet for at least an hour so mommy can have a break (I am sure you know how often that works out).

Today, things were a bit too quiet (with a toddler quiet=trouble) so I went and checked on him and this is how I found him.

Don't mind the poor quality of the photo, I wasn't using a flash and bumped up to ISO to 1600.

Today when I went to pick up Sebastian and Nate at the gym's daycare after my class, the lady who watches them told me how protective Sebastian is of his baby brother. He wouldn't let anyone but him touch him and constantly came by him to make sure he was ok. How sweet is that?? I am SO proud of Sebastian. He is such an amazing big brother.

Being a stay-at-home-mom of two is hectic most of the times, but seeing you children love each other just makes it all worth it!

My baby is 3 months old! Can you believe it??
A year ago I thought I'd never have another baby and now my gift from God (that is what Nathaniel means) is 3 months old!!
He is truely a blessing and has brought so much love and joy into our family.

What is baby up to these days?
- He is sleeping through the night!! 7-8-9 or even 10 hours in a row!!
- He sleeps swaddled only!
- He is over 17 pounds so you can imagine that most of his day is spent on the boob.
- He has been rolling over from belly to back since he was 9 weeks old.
- He started smiling at 5 weeks old (actually 2 days before he turned 5 weeks).
- He lovessssssss to talk (wonder where he got that from?).
- He smiles all the time especially to his buddy, our ceiling fan LOL
- He loves to be in his swing on his boucer in the middle of the house so he can people watch.
- He never cries unless something is wrong.
- He loves his bath. That's all I can think of now.

Monster Trucks

Saturday evening we took Sebastian to see Monster Trucks (Nate stayed with grand-ma). Sebastian is such a boy and is totally obssessed with trucks and dirt so I thought this show would be perfect for us to go see with him. Eric was a bit hesitant in taking him at first but boy did we have a great time. Sebastian sat still through the entire show and cheered his heart out! It's amazing to see the world through your children's eyes, it makes things even more fun than they would have been without them there! Plus it was nice to spend some quality one on one time with our little man!

We had purchased "VIP tickets" which allowed us to participate in the small pre-show Pit Party. It was fun seeing the huge trucks up close and take a few pictures with the drivers :)

The boys are always so relaxed after their bath and massage (who wouldn't be?). It's usually a great time for me to pick up the camera and take pictures of them, so here are a few I took 2 nights ago.

Sebastian loves Nate (I know I say it all the time). I can't ever manage to get him to look at the camera for me anymore but if I ask him to pose with his baby brother, he is the best model ever.

What do we do all day?

I think since being a SAHM (stay-at-home mom) the question I hear the most is "What do you do all day?".... well, I sit on my [big] butt and eat bonbons ALLLLLLLLL day long while watching soap operas.
seriously though, how stupid is that question? I actually keep very busy with the kids. We go to the zoo, the park, the library, the gym, we do arts and crafts, read books and the list goes on and on. While I don't believe in having a schedule, I do try to do something new everyday with at least one day of "laziness" at home.
Today we painted. Nathan was napping so I took advantage of my alone time with Seb to paint. Well of course, in the middle of painting, Nate wakes up with a huge poopy diaper! So I go to change him and this is what I come back to see...

Being at home with my kids is the best, they even teach me things everyday like today : DON'T LEAVE YOUR CHILD UNATTENDED WITH PAINT!!!

I made a deal with Sebastian this morning : You behave and let mommy clean the house and I'll take you to Butterfly World (yes yes AGAIN).
He held his end of the bargain so as soon as I was done, off we went!
It was BURNING hot but as usual, we had a great time. Sebastian is definately more and more use to the place and had no fear (he usually is a bit jumpy) when feeding the birds (maybe one day I'll remember what kind of birds they are!).

Sebastian LOVES bugs! So we have a membership to a place called "Butterfly World" near us. We go ALOT. It's truely a beautiful place with lots of butterflies (duh!) but also lots of other bugs.
Anyway last time on our way out (through the gift shop), I noticed they sold cocoons. Weird you think? Well I bought 2 thinking it would be AMAZING to watch this cocoon everyday and see it become a butterfly right before our eyes.
Our first one died. We saw it starting to hatch but then I guess the butterfly was not strong enough and it never hatched all the way. I was very upset, because I felt horrible for even having bought this thing.
Anyway we have been watching the other one closely and guess what we found this morning????A BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLY!!!!
Sebastian was SO happy!! He couldn't contain himself and kept screaming "my cocoon is now a fly-fly"
We had been patiently watching it everyday so seeing this beautiful transformation was definately something fun to do together!

more Easter/birthday pictures! I know, I know they are a week late but we've been busy!

It rained alot on Easter, so we were unable to have an Easter egg hunt. The rain did let down though for a whole 5 minutes so we hurried outside for a mini hunt with Anthony and Sebastian. They both had a really good time and loved looking inside their eggs to see what was inside!

God has blessed our family in so many ways. Having two children has brought more joy and love in my life than I would have ever imagined. Oh sure it's not easy everyday and there are days I want to just lock myself in the bathroom so no one could find me but most days with my 2 beautiful boys and my husband are simply amazing.
My birthday fell on Easter this year and I couldn't have asked for a better gift than having these 3 amazing people: Eric, Sebastian and Nathaniel in my life.

Easter Par-tay!

Today we were invited to celebrate Easter (a day early) with a bunch of our friends at Mike & Elissa's home. We were planning a big egg hunt in their yard but unfortunately it was pouring (!!!) rain. We still had loads of fun though and made sure to stuff our faces with all the yummy dishes everyone had prepared.
We managed to do somewhat of an Easter Egg activity. We threw all te eggs in the middle of the room and let the kids have at them! their faces were PRICELESS!!
Sebastian was SO excited (you'll notice if you read our blog often than Sebastian easily gets SO excited-lol-) He kept screaming "WOOHOO EATER EGGS WOOHOO EATER EGGS!!!!". Gosh what wouldn't I give to be a kid again!

We attempted to take a picture of all our kids but it failed miserably!-lol- It's so hard now especially since most of us have 2 kids now.

For the past two weeks the ice cream truck has been stopping in our neighbourhood, Sebastian quickly learned that when he heard the music, it meant the ice cream truck was near.
He gets soooooo excited...the funny thing? he doesn't even the ice cream!!!!! He licks it once and it done. He just loves going up to the truck, paying and running back to show me what he got!

I guess in Boca we don't have the privilege to meeting the "old fashioned" Easter bunny (the goofy dressed big white bunny)... maybe he's not snooty enough for our area ;)
So we took the kids to see Peter Cotton Tail...Sebastian was ery intrigued at first but once we sat him next to him he started crying (look at the first picture) some nice person tried to distract him and gave him a colored Easter egg from the decoration around us and in less than 10 seconds, Sebastian stopped crying! Miracle! We got Nathaniel's first picture with the bunny without Sebastian freaking out (too much-lol).
oh and check out their outfits, I bought them cute matching ties to wear on Easter Sunday, aren't they ADORABLE??

Tonight I had a few Easter related errands to run so Eric stayed home with Sebastian while I went out with Nathaniel.
I was gone for about an hour, as soon as I pulled into the driveway Sebastian came running out with his arms wide open : I MISSSED YOU MOMMY, I MISSED YOU!
Gosh I don't think I have ever heard anything sweeter. I hugged him so hard I thought he would stop breathing... gosh I love my kid!!

Happy 2 month birthday my love!

My little man is 2 months old today.
As of today he weighs, 14lbs10oz (off the chart for weight) and is 23 inches long (50% for height)... short and fat: I LOVE IT!!

well my kid in this case...

I thought I'd share this with you all.

- This morning Sebastian came to me while I was doing dishes and said : " Mommy Sebby hungy (=hungry),, you make Sebby coffee"... I was floored and could not stop laughing!! My two year old is asking me for coffee? LMAO!

- We were out and I asked Sebastian to hold my hand to cross the street. He had a juice in his hands so he looked at me and said " No mommy two hands busy"...lol

-Today he found my easter gifts stash, I guess I should just hide them better. He found one of the coloring books and took it out. He came to me and said: " mommy buy book... oh thank you mommy thank you thank you thank you!!!!" my heart just melts when he is so sweet!

that's it for now... mommy duty is calling me!
